My research: My research aims at understanding the role of neuronal oscillations (brain rhythms), and more generally fluctuations, in implementing local computations and in setting up the communication in brain networks during sensory perception independently of the modality.
I have a strong interest in developing new theoretical frameworks.
To address our questions, we use a combination of neuroimaging/stimulation techniques, in particular high resolution (laminar) Magnetoencephalography (MEG), laminar fMRI and EEG combined, transcranial alternative current stimulation (tACS). We also analyze monkey electrophysiological data obtained through collaborations. Finally, we have recently started to use computational modeling as well as deep and spiking neural networks.
Outside the lab I love to: play with my children, read comics, trying to learn guitar
